1. Vacuum thoroughly
To maintain the appearance and texture of the carpet, the most important thing is to vacuum regularly and in the correct way. Dust will penetrate into the carpet, cut the plush fibers, and cause wear and tear on the carpet.
Therefore, no matter what cleaning method you use later, you must first clean up the floating dust, particles, and hair on the carpet.
If the carpet is of the kind with hair flow, when vacuuming, it should be sucked against the direction of the hair flow. Try to suck up all the debris from the corners, and then cooperate with the roller to clean up all the solid scum on the basic carpet. .
But for some carpets with very long hairs, such as wool carpets, their hairs are thin and long and comfortable to use, but it is easy to accumulate dust and dust mites. In addition to the vacuum cleaner mentioned above, the dust removal of this kind of carpet must be coordinated. A needle brush, brush all the bristles before vacuuming.
2. Local stains
In addition to dust and dust mites, sometimes you will find some unidentified stains and color patches on the carpet when cleaning, and you need to use cleaning products.
But never let the carpet get too wet, otherwise it may get moldy. Even if it does not become moldy, it takes a long time for the carpet fibers to dry, and they cannot be stepped on during the air-drying period, because they are easy to get dirty and leave stains, and some fibers are fragile and easily damaged when they are wet.
3. In addition to mites
Carpets made of natural fibers or synthetic fibers may contain dust mites. Dust mites hide deep in the pile and feed on the accumulated dander. Wool carpets are particularly problematic in this regard.
But this can be avoided by reducing humidity, good ventilation, and frequent and thorough vacuuming.
Some people use a mite removal device and a mite removal spray. In fact, I still think that the removal of a mite device is a small handheld vacuum cleaner with a light, and the actual effect of the mite removal spray is difficult to measure.
